Fantastic Plastic...?

Have a heart for poor Alexandra Horvath. She was the hot favourite to win the (no doubt) highly coveted title of Miss Plastic in Budapest on the weekend, but didn't quite get to complete the competition. Tsk, tsk.

Here's how news.com.au reported it.

THE hot favourite to win the Miss Plastic title this weekend was forced to pull out of the competition after her breast implants landed her in hospital.

Blonde Alexandra Horvath, 23, tore a ligament when she tripped after passing the breast examination stage of the contest.

The Metro reported judges were congratulating Horvath's surgeon, Dr Tamas Rozsos, on the lack of any surgical scars when the blonde toppled over on the catwalk and tore a ligament in her foot.

Laszlo Feher told the Metro: 'Everyone was admiring her bodywork and then she started to topple - no-one was near enough to reach her and she fall badly. She was taken to hospital by ambulance.'

A friend said: 'She had not got used to the extra weight on top and her new hair extensions got in her eyes - she just lost her balance and tore a ligament in her foot badly.'

The competition, held in Hungary, was organised as a protest by doctors and women who were barred from conventional beauty contests because they had plastic surgery.

Don't worry Alexandra, there's always next year, and that will give you just enough time to have a few more procedures to make you an even more competitive contestant. See? Every cloud has a silver lining.

Hmmm. Is it just me, or is this a real "What the...?" moment?

Until next time...
